Liberia’s cinemas were born in February 2003, thanks to the alliance between the Circuito de Cine Magaly (CCM) and Centro Plaza Liberia LBE S.A. They arise to provide the Guanacaste people, an entertainment option based on the projection of the films of the moment.

They cover an area of 930 square meters of Mall Centro Plaza Liberia and are located on the third floor of these facilities.

As of 2007, the cinemas no longer form part of the Magaly Cinemas Circuit and become independent under the name of Multicines Plaza Liberia S.A.
